‘Green’ smashed into the Official iTunes Pop Chart this week at No.6 and is available for purchase via both iTunes and Spotify
Adam will also release a new single & remix package, “What If”, taken from the mini-album, on 24th March 2017.
He last week performed “What If” on an episode of US smash-hit TV show ‘The Bachelor’ and also via a prime slot on NBC’s ‘The Today Show’. Combined audience for these two shows alone reached a massive 30million+ US TV viewers!
‘Green’ mini-album tracklisting;
2. What If
4. Waiting On A Woman
5. Lemonade (feat Mike Posner)
For Friedman, his debut; “…Represents an important story of loss and how it taught me that there’s more to be gained in my life”. Unlike his happy-go-lucky 2016 single “Lemonade”, which features Mike Posner on co-vocals, the other tracks on ‘Green’ take a more electronic-based approach with lyrics that have a core focus on human emotion inside love and everyday obstacles. “I wanted a collection of sounds and styles to explore,” Friedman remarks regarding the mini-album. “I don’t want to be restrained to one type of sound".
Adam’s trio of singles from last year, “Pretty Things”, “Sad” & the aforementioned “Lemonade” (ft. Mike Posner), have already seen him surpass 20 million streams worldwide across all stores.
Adam Friedman is an Arizona native turned Californian whose family actually originate from Windermere (in the Lake District) as well as having both Scottish & Irish ancestry. He began his life in music obsessing over artists like Blink 182, Ray Charles, Eminem and Coldplay. However, the magic didn’t really come alive until Friedman was confronted with problems in reading and writing. At the age of 9, Adam’s mother and teacher insisted on using Hooked-On-Phonics to help resolve these early difficulties. Instead, Adam’s fascination with the tape machine resulted in him learning how to record music and represented the start of his career as an artist & producer.
It wasn’t until Friedman began placing his music in local TV & radio commercials, throughout high school, that he realised he could actually turn his lifelong passion into a sustainable career. After graduating from the Berklee School of Music, Adam wrote “Glorious”, which was recently chosen as the theme song for forthcoming animated movie ‘Rock Dog’ (starring Luke Wilson & JK Simmons). He has also just confirmed that a track from ‘Green’ will be used in Christian Slater’s forthcoming new TV show.
Adam’s music also caught the ear of Grammy Award nominated singer/songwriter Mike Posner (who scored a massive worldwide hit in 2016 with “I Took A Pill In Ibiza”). Almost instantly, a friendship was formed and music was made. Adam collaborated with Mike throughout the recording process of Posner’s latest album ‘At Night, Alone’ in addition to the first singles officially released under Friedman’s project.
Adam Friedman’s debut mini-album ‘Green’ is released 24th February whilst the single & remix package “What If” is released 24th March 2017 (both via Backtrack Music)
